Professor Mike Seiler Gives Keynote Speech at VA Assoc. of Assessing Officers Conference

Dr. Michael J. Seiler, K. Dane Brooksher Endowed Professor of Real Estate & Finance at William & Mary, was the Keynote speaker at the 66th Annual Conference for the Virginia Association of Assessing Officers today in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Seiler shared a summary of his many research studies relating to the intricate process surrounding the strategic mortgage default crisis and the impact is has on home values and homeowners.

Flex MBA student Shiran Zerach on community engagement

Shiran Zerach, a Flex MBA student, is featured in this month's issue of the Oyster Pointer in a story titled, Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads: Rebuilding Lives One Home at a Time. The Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads (HDCofHR) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization with the mission of providing quality, affordable housing opportunities in safe neighborhoods to low-income individuals and families. Zerach has been volunteering for HDCofHR over several years. Her work focused on marketing and grant research and writing in the areas of housing acquisition and rehabilitation.

The W&M Accounting Program at Raymond A. Mason School of Business is ranked in the Top 25 (#24) of Undergraduate Accounting Programs for Career Outcomes in LinkedIn's University Rankings published today. LinkedIn ranked schools based on how successful recent graduates have been at landing desirable accounting jobs.

Associate Dean for MBA Programs Ken White: The First 30 Days

One month ago, Dean Larry Pulley welcomed the school’s new Associate Dean for MBA Programs Ken White to the Mason School. White came to Williamsburg with 20 years of successful leadership experience in higher education, half that time at top business schools. Prior to joining the Mason School, White was the Associate Dean for MBA & MS Programs at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business. Before that, he was Vice President for Communication & Marketing at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. After 30 days on the job, White has gotten to know the school, its programs and people.
