Announcements - New Students Spring Semester

Congratulations on your enrollment in the Part-Time MBA Program! Please set up an advising meeting with the PTMBA Program office for your personal orientation to the program. The program office has set aside the week of January 5 – 9 to meet with each incoming student.  Please note that all new students will be registered into their first two core classes in the spring unless we are notified otherwise. Here are your first two core classes, including their meet dates and times

  •  BUAD 5703-01: Quantitative Methods– Thursdays from 7:00 – 9:50 pm, starting on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
  • BUAD 5013-01: Communication for Managers – Mondays from 7:00 – 9:50 pm, starting on Monday, January 26 (the university is closed on 1/19/2026 for MLK Day).

 Registration will also trigger billing. It is important to monitor your billing statements for correctness including in-state/out-of-state tuition and the number of credit hours.

 On Thursday, January 29, the PTMBA program will host a welcome dinner and short orientation for the new class of students at 5:30 pm at the Pen Center. You will meet your PTMBA Association Officers and learn about how you can get involved.

  • Date: Thursday, January 29, 2026
  • Time: from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.  We will serve dinner at 5:30 pm.
  • Location: W&M Peninsula Center, 41 Old Oyster Point Road, Newport News, VA 23602

Degree Requirements for spring-start students

Peninsula Center Building Hours

During the semester, students have access to the Peninsula Center from 6 am to midnight with their Student ID. New students will need to upload their photo to obtain a student ID card for access into the Pen Center. Here are the instructions.

The Pen Center is closed when the university is closed, for example during the following: 

  • Thanksgiving Break
  • Winter Break
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day/4th of July

Student Accommodations

If you are in need of testing accommodations, please contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) in the Dean of Students Office. We highly recommend doing so as soon as possible as they experience a high volume of student requests at the start of the academic year. 

Care Concerns

William & Mary and the MBA Programs Office care about the well-being of all students. When students experience significant challenges impacting their well-being, the Dean of Students Office can help. Faculty, staff, and fellow students may refer students for Care Support through a care concernsWe encourage members of the community to submit a care report if there is a significant concern about a student’s wellbeing. More information on student Care Support Services can be found here
