Graduation

Standard File

Part-Time MBA students finishing degree requirements in January (following the Fall Semester), May (following the Spring Semester), or August (following the Summer Semester) are invited to participate in the William & Mary Commencement taking place in May of the calendar year during which they graduate.

NOC Form (Notice of Candidacy - Application to Graduate)

Important: You must apply to graduate by October 15 to notify William & Mary that you are planning to graduate. Please indicate on the online form the semester that you are completing your graduation requirements not the semester that you intend to participate in Commencement (May). If you miss the deadline to apply, you must wait until the following year to confer your degree.

Registration for Commencement

Registration for Commencement will take place from early February through early March each year. All degree candidates requesting tickets for the main ceremony must register to attend. The University Student Affairs will communicate with all students who have applied to graduate for the current graduation year. This communication is what you will use to request tickets. If you are planning to graduate, but have not received communication from the University Student Affairs, please contact them at [[w|studentaffairs]].

If you do not plan to attend any Commencement-related events, we ask that you still complete the form so we are aware of your intentions. Please note: Commencement registration is different from the Application to Graduate form you filed with the Registrar.
