Minors

Students majoring in the Arts & Sciences or the School of Computing, Data Sciences & Physics may enhance their studies with a business minor. All William & Mary students interested in a business minor must apply for admission to the Undergraduate Business program. The admission process is competitive.

Minors Options

Minors are 18-19 credits worth of coursework in a specified field of business.

Accounting Minor

The accounting minor requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of coursework in accounting and business. Thinking CPA? Students considering the CPA route are advised to speak with an academic advisor about ways to meet CPA exam and licensure requirements.

Finance Minor

Students minoring in finance must complete 19 credits in the discipline. These credits focus understanding of finance beyond basic formulae to a more critical look at financial statements, portfolio risk and return, and corporate financial strategy.

Global Business Minor

Students minoring in global business must complete 18 credits of coursework. 15 credits will be earned during the summer experience. Students must have either passed BUAD 203 Principles of Accounting (3 credits) prior to the start of the program or must have the ability in their schedule to take this course in a subsequent semester at William & Mary prior to graduation (with special permission) to earn the minor designation.
