Students majoring in the Arts & Sciences may wish to enhance their studies with a business minor. All currently admitted William & Mary students interested in a business major or minor must apply for admission to the Undergraduate Business program. The admission process is competitive.
The accounting minor requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of coursework in accounting and business. Thinking CPA? Students considering the CPA route are advised to speak with an academic advisor about ways to meet CPA exam and licensure requirements.
Interdisciplinary Innovation & Entrepreneurship Minor
Students minoring in interdisciplinary innovation & entrepreneurship must complete 18 credits in the discipline.
Students minoring in finance must complete 18 credits in the discipline. These credits focus understanding of finance beyond basic formulae to a more critical look at financial statements, portfolio risk and return, and corporate financial strategy.
Management & Organizational Leadership Minor
Students minoring in management & organizational leadership must complete 18 credits in the discipline. In addition, six elective credits chosen: BUAD 203 Principles of Accounting and business courses numbered 300 and above.
Note: Foundation Semester courses (BUAD 311, 323, and 350) require special permission from the Undergraduate Business program office.
Students minoring in marketing must complete 18 credits in the discipline. These credits focus understanding of marketing beyond basic principles to look more critically at advertising strategies, decision theory, marketing in a digital world, and consumer behavior.
Supply Chain Analytics Minor
The supply chain analytics minor requires a minimum of 19 credit hours of coursework in business analytics.
