Professor Blossom Awarded Dungan Fellowship
Paul Blossom, a William & Mary Professor of Operations and Information Technology at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, was recently awarded the Thomas and Teri Dungan BBA Teaching Fellowship Award.
Blossom is the 10th recipient of the award.
The Dungan Fellowship is a significant professional distinction that honors and encourages innovation and excellence in undergraduate teaching at the Mason School of Business. Created in 2005 by business school alumni Tom ’88 and Teri ’88 Dungan, the recipient earns recognition among the faculty as a Dungan Award winner and is also given a monetary prize.
Blossom, who teaches a variety of innovative business and technology courses at the business school including Introduction to Process Management & Consulting, Lean Processing, Six Sigma, and Computer Skills for Business, is known for his ability to engage students with creative hands-on exercises. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Management, MS in Operations Research and BS in Psychology and has experience that ranges from the factory floor to the executive suite, including work as the COO of a software development company.

"Innovation in teaching methods are becoming more important with each new generation of students. The fast pace of technology innovation creates generations of students with evolving expectations that the academy must adjust to."
