Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree in Business Analytics?

During undergraduate, I took some classes related to analyzing and working with data. I became interested in developing and enhancing my skills in this area. Business analysts are in high demand, and there is a huge range of careers available to professionals who graduate with a master's degree in this course of study. I thought it was important to pursue business analytics to become proficient in making informed decisions using data, learn how to quantify business failures, and gain detailed insight and skills using visualization tools.

What appealed to you about William & Mary's MSBA program?

William & Mary's program is only ten months long. I like the idea that I could transform my career potential and enter the real business world in a short amount of time. Secondly, it offers the OPT-STEM designation, which is good for international students. But mostly, the Raymond A. Mason School of Business treats students as family and approaches each student individually. From the admissions process to the VISA process, they helped me a lot and gave me good advice.

What have been some highlights during your 10-month experience?

I like the people at William & Mary. No matter who you are, whether they know you or not, people at the university, at the Mason School, and in the graduate student complex will go out of their way to help you. The professors have also been very supportive and have provided me with both personal and academic advice.

What excites you about the field of business analytics?

I like working in different teams, and I am really interested in finding positions at companies or organizations where I can grow using my data visualization skills. I like working in SQL and Tableau and using those tools to present data in dynamic ways.
