Full-Time MBA Career Outcomes

Your next career starts here

We guide our full-time MBA students through a comprehensive process to prepare them for employment after earning one of the top MBA programs in the USA. The Graduate Career Management Center (GCMC) staff mentors all of our job seekers individually in resume writing, network development, and interviewing techniques. We believe it doesn’t matter if you’re at the beginning of your career or a seasoned professional, there are new skills you can acquire to execute a more effective job search.

Career Preparation through William & Mary

When you choose our Full-Time MBA program, you gain a team of individuals who are dedicated to providing you a highly personalized professional development experience. They are available as a resource as soon as you accept your admission offer to the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, and remain actively engaged in your professional success long after your first job offer.

Career Preparation

  • Summer Start-up

Prior to orientation, students connect with staff from the Graduate Career Management Center (GCMC) to begin to translate their experiences, skills, and interests into a resume that tells their story and positions them with top employers via Handshake, our online job database. Students also complete their CareerLeader Assessment and establish a relationship with their dedicated career advisor.

  • Career Conference

Mere weeks after classes start, students can elect to travel to a career conference where they will network with Fortune 500 companies and interview for internships and full-time positions. Students who pre-register gain access to the conference job database several weeks in advance and quite often get pre-conference interviews. We help our students prepare to find the right job from the day you enter our program because we understand that advancing your career is a major reason for pursuing your MBA.

  • Orientation

A full day session for students to attend career management panels, participate in student internship experience panels, hear from recruiters on how best to stand out, and complete a case interview workshop.

  • Executive Partners

Each student is assigned a personal coach, a mentor, to provide one-on-one feedback and advice on their professional brand and how to secure employment, whether it be a summer internship or a full-time position. Executive Partners work with their MBAs closely during The Principled Professional, throughout the year during networking and professional development events, and are available 24/7 for help.
