METD Concentration

 Part-Time MBA Program Concentration:
Management of Engineering and Technology Development (METD)

Part-Time MBA students are required to take 16.5 hours of electives.  Students electing this concentration must complete at least 12 hours from the following electives:

  • BUAD 6591: Predictive Analytics (3 credits)
  • BUAD 6601: Management of Emerging Technologies (3 credits)
  • BUAD 6611: Supply Chain Management (3 credits)
  • BUAD 6621: Project Management (1.5 credits)
  • BUAD 6631: Advanced Project Management (1.5 credits)*
  • BUAD 6641: Lean Toolkit (1.5 credits)
  • BUAD 6651: Six Sigma Toolkit (1.5 credits)
  • BUAD 6671: Lean Six Sigma Project (1.5 credits)*
  • BUAD 6691: Engineering Economic Analysis (3 credits)
  • Prerequisites are required for these courses. In order to take Advanced Project Management, you must have already taken BUAD 6621: Project Management. In order to take Lean Six Sigma Project, you must have already taken BUAD 6641: Lean Toolkit and BUAD 6651: Six Sigma Toolkit.

Students are required to submit their Concentration Declaration Form during their final semester completing the Foundation Core (the first 6 courses) in the Part-Time MBA Program. Concentration declarations may be made after the deadline, but you should consult the Program Team prior to declaring.

Students may not take electives (except international trips) until they have completed the first 6 core courses.

This concentration will be reflected on your transcript.
