US Chairman & Americas Managing Partner, EY

Steve Howe is retired Chairman Emeritus of Ernst & Young LLP. He started at EY in 1983 and had several leadership roles, including most recently as Americas Managing Partner and US Chairman and Managing Partner, for three terms (12 years). Also, he was a member of EY's Global Executive Board for this period

During his 35 years at EY, he also served as an audit partner and senior advisory partner on various of EY's largest clients. Before becoming Managing Partners for the US and Americas in 2006, Howe was Managing Partner of one of EY's largest business units, the Financial Services Office, for six years. As the leader of the US Firm and Americas-wide businesses, he represented EY in maintaining regulatory relationships and took direct responsibility for EY's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Steve Howe graduated from Colgate University with a BA in Mathematical Economics and from the Stern School at New York University with an MBA in Accounting and Finance.

Howe serves on the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Hall, the Board of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Science Center, and the Board of Directors of Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD. Previously, he served on the Board of Governors of the Center for Audit Quality, the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, the Board of the Partnership for New York City, and the Board of Trustees of Colgate University.

Steve Howe and his wife, Kate, believe in giving back and are actively involved in several charities in support of their communities.
