Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Duke Lifepoint Healthcare
Leif Murphy is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for LifePoint Health. He joined LifePoint in 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer and was named CFO in 2013.
In addition to providing corporate and healthcare finance leadership, Mr. Murphy oversees the company’s strategic growth and development efforts to acquire new hospitals, lead in-market growth, and development initiatives, and pursue strategic alliances that drive organizational growth and enhance the quality of care provided at LifePoint facilities nationwide. He also is responsible for all activities related to physician practice management and medical staff development for all LifePoint hospitals.
Mr. Murphy brings a unique combination of healthcare, business development and finance expertise to LifePoint. He has nearly 20 years of healthcare finance and development experience, including tenures as president and CEO of DSI Renal, Inc. and senior vice president and treasurer of Caremark, Inc. Mr. Murphy also previously held leadership positions at Renal Care Group, Inc., National Nephrology Associates, Inc., and HealthSouth Corporation.
