Executive Vice President & General Manager, SAIC Solutions & Technology Group
Josh Jackson is executive vice president and general manager for SAIC's Solutions and Technology Group, with responsibility for leading strategy and market growth and for developing solutions that capitalize on the company's capabilities in enterprise information technology; software; cyber; analytics; engineering, integration, and logistics; and training and mission solutions.
Jackson joined SAIC in 2002 and during his tenure has held positions of increasing authority. He started as a program manager and then became a division manager, chief engineer, and operations manager before joining the top business leadership of the company. He has supported the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Combatant Commands, other defense agencies, NASA, and the National Institutes of Health. He has led the development of programs in test and evaluation, experimentation, simulation, analysis, training, and assessments and has worked on several different weapons systems and platforms, both large and small and kinetic and non-kinetic.
Jackson has authored numerous technical papers, and his current research interests are the integration and application of disparate modeling and simulation tools to solve complex warfighting issues.
He is the chairman of the industry advisory board for the Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center (VMASC), and also serves on the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Virginia Beach Board. He is a board member of People in Need, an organization that supports the homeless. Jackson is a member of SAIC's Inclusion and Diversity Council and co-leads the company's women's business resource group.
Jackson holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from William & Mary. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, and is also a certified Project Management Professional.
