Former Chief Executive Officer, Encore Capital Group
Mr. Black served as the Chief Executive Officer of Encore Capital Group, Inc. from October 3, 2005, to May 31, 2013, and served as President from October 28, 2004, to April 2013. Mr. Black served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Midland Credit Management, Inc., a subsidiary of Encore Capital Group Inc. as well as the role of Chief Operating Officer of Encore Capital Group from May 2000 to October 2005 and as its Executive Vice President from May 2000 to October 2004. Mr. Black served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for West Capital Financial Services Corp., from March 1998 to May 2000. Prior to joining West Capital, Mr. Black worked for First Data Resources from September 1997 to April 1998 and for Capital One Financial Corporation from June 1989 to August 1997. He serves as a Director of Midland Credit Management, Inc. He served as a Director of Encore Capital Group inc from May 2005 until June 5, 2013. He received a Bachelor's degree from William & Mary in 1989 and an MBA from the University of Richmond in 1996.
