President Bill Clinton recognizes nine Mason School students
Students from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business were recently awarded first place in the national "Up To Us" competition, a program aimed at educating millennials on the fiscal and economic challenges facing the country. This year's contest, sponsored by the Peter G. Peterson Foundation in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) and the Net Impact student organization, included over 230 students from 28 states.
The nine members of William & Mary's winning team were recognized by former U.S. President Bill Clinton at the annual CGI U meeting, held April 1-3, 2016, at the University of California, Berkeley. The students also received a $10,000 cash prize and were invited to attend the Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s 2016 Fiscal Summit in Washington, D.C.
“The enthusiasm in this year's Up to Us competition shows that young people are taking action to invest in America’s future,” said former U.S. President Bill Clinton in a press release. “As the winning team from William & Mary proves, everyone can play an important role in addressing our nation’s challenges, and working together is the best way to do it."
