EY leads Big Four Firms in Giving Competition, Doubles Participation Giving
To encourage William & Mary alumni working in the accounting industry to give back, the Mason School of Business and the Accounting Programs Board launched an annual Accounting Firms Giving Competition.
During the inaugural 2016 Competition, EY achieved the highest participation rate among Big Four Firms with 83 percent of employees giving to William & Mary or the Mason School.
“The Mason School provided me with an invaluable education,” said Chris Maher ’79. “I am grateful to my colleagues and friends who demonstrated their generosity to support the next generation of business school professionals.”
All of the Big Four Firms increased their participation rates, and EY more than doubled participation from last year, which was 38 percent.
Giving rates reflect the level of engagement of a school’s alumni community, and our accounting firms have demonstrated their strong commitment to the future of William & Mary and the Mason School of Business. William & Mary has the highest alumni participation rates among all public universities in the nation, and the College is striving for 40 percent participation by 2020.
The 2017 Competition will kick off this fall.
