Entrepreneurship Center faculty members awarded Creative Adaptation grant

Content from a popular business course offered by the Mason School's Entrepreneurship Center will soon be available to students online, thanks to a $27,000 grant from the Creative Adaptation Fund. Executive Director Graham Henshaw and Managing Director Ron Monark will use the funds to expand Entrepreneurial Ventures, a course that focuses on the issues facing small business owners and innovators. Specifically, the grant will allow the school to expand digital course content and develop a series of online videos enabling students to access learning modules from any location worldwide.

An added benefit of the new video series, according to Henshaw, will be the additional time it will give him to offer more hands-on learning opportunities for students including workshops, speaker series, and site visits.

The Creative Adaptation grant seeks to fund innovative and cost-saving projects that will improve William & Mary's educational programs and encourage academic creativity. Since 2012, the fund has sponsored a variety of leading-edge projects with awards totaling over $800,000.
