W&M event brings together public and private sector to discuss entrepreneurial initiatives to address social issues

For the second year, the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary will be the gathering place for leaders from the public and private sectors to engage and act to address social issues. The discussion and presentations will focus on how businesses can resolve social issues using entrepreneurial business strategies.

SEcon2013: The Forum for Revolutionary Thinking will focus on real-world examples of how businesses and non-profits are using their core strengths, values, and people to help solve tough social problems. They also will discuss how to leverage each other’s strengths for profit and purpose simultaneously. This has been most recently described as “doing well by doing good.”
