Commencement 2011 proved to be successful, as another class of William & Mary School of Business graduates received their diplomas:

The Class of 2011 had a total of 416 graduates:

Grads, family, and friends gathered in the Miller Hall Atrium Sunday morning for the Graduate Diploma Ceremony to celebrate.  Fortunately, the rain held off for a beautiful commencement ceremony, in which Dean Pulley addressed the crowd, telling students, "It is hard to imagine any aspect of you that will not have been touched by this experience. Resolve now to continue your process of growth, discovery, and change."

The threat of rain caused the Undergraduate Presentation Ceremony to be moved to William & Mary Hall.

At both ceremonies, faculty and students received awards for their outstanding achievements, dedication, and service to the School of Business.  Among those awarded were: Dr. Michael Luchs (Undergraduate Faculty Excellence Award, as voted by the graduating class), John S. Frankenhoff (Trustee’s Award for highest GPA among Full-time MBAs), and Christopher R. Fescoe (Student Contribution to the Flex MBA Program Award).

Student excellence was not only recognized through awards, but through opportunities new graduates have found outside of the college.  Many of the School of Business graduates have already received and accepted job offers at leading organizations around the world, allowing them to utilize their new-found business acumen and revolutionary thinking.

MBA graduates have accepted career opportunities with companies around the world including: Deloitte, US Treasury, Volkswagen, IBM, Under Armour, Amazon, and Bristol Myers Squibb. The potential of our new undergraduate alumni has also been recognized as many have accepted job offers at leading companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Booz Allen Hamilton, JP Morgan, Skillshare, NBC and Colgate-Palmolive.
