Mason Partners with Hewitt Associates for Leadership Conference

The Mason School of Business partnered with Hewitt Associates for the 2010 Leadership Advantage Conference on February 23-24 at Miller Hall.

The conference brought leaders from a variety of industries and organizations to interact with students in the MBA program,  business leaders, and the Mason Executive Partners who collaborate with the faculty of the Mason School as Leadership Advantage coaches.

The daylong event was preceded by the conference kick-off speaker, Phillip Martens, President and Chief Operating Officer of Novelis, Inc., an $11-billion world leader in aluminum rolled products.

Hewitt Associates, FORTUNE Magazine, and The RBL Group collaborated on the most comprehensive longitudinal study of talent and leadership around the globe. The 2009 findings not only shed light on the specific programs and practices that drive the success of Top Companies in developing leaders, they also uncover how these companies are wrestling with leadership challenges amid the current economic environment. Hewitt Associates’ Richard Fourmey and Judy Pahren, Senior Vice President of Capital One Financial Corporation shared insights from Fortune Magazine’s Top Companies for Leaders study as part of the opening session.
