WILLIAMSBURG -- On Friday, Feb. 25, 2010, the Mason School of Business recognized 78 students -- including undergraduate, Full-time MBA, Flex MBA, EMBA and Master of Accounting -- who were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society that recognizes achievement in the study of business.
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
During the ceremony, Prof. Denise Jones made a few remarks about the importance of business research and the benefit of pursuing a PhD if you want to do that later in life. Prof. Bud Robeson reminded recipients that BGS was recognizing their academic excellence, and they were also taking an oath to act as upstanding and honest members of the business community going forward.
