Why William & Mary?
I chose William & Mary because I felt at home in the community. I was welcomed by other students and received personalized attention from professors and my career advisor. It felt like I was more than just a name or a number; instead, I was a valued individual.
How would you describe the William & Mary experience?
My William & Mary MBA experience was overwhelmingly positive. I came in without a clear direction, with my only goal being to learn, grow, and pivot my career. The MBA program helped me uncover the trajectory that was right for me and offered me opportunities to pursue it.
What career support did you receive from the Mason School Graduate Career Management Center (GCMC)?
My GCMC advisor pointed out job opportunities that seemed like a good fit, encouraging me to apply to my current position. She recommended which alumni to speak to about different career paths and encouraged me with a positive attitude.
What advice can you give prospective or new MBA students to be successful in the program, on finding internships, and landing a full-time position?
Remember, there is no single formula for success. Focus on how you want to grow and identify the people who can help you get there (and there is no shortage in the halls of the Mason School!)
