Academics

Only current undergraduates may take part in the Bachelor's to Master's Accelerated Pathway (BMAP). Only students who have completed their bachelor's degree may enroll in the MS in NPM. Any W&M student who completes the BMAP and graduates in good standing will be automatically accepted into the MS. For students to enroll in the MS in NPM without completing the BMAP, they must enroll early as graduate students to complete the Williamsburg-based graduate coursework.

Proposed Curriculum

Core required courses (15 credits)

Additional required courses (6 credits)

Elective Courses (9 credits)

Delivery of BMAP and then MS in NPM Curriculum

Program of Study

AY26-27 at Williamsburg campus (BMAP)

12 credits

To be completed by students while still in the William & Mary undergraduate program. Courses will count toward their Bachelor's degree (as electives) while also applying to the Master of Science degree. Courses will be billed at UG tuition rates and students can utilize UG financial aid to pay their tuition.

  • Nonprofit Management
  • Non-Profit Law
  • Nonprofit Finance, Financial Management, and Accountability
  • Topical (graduate) course

AY27-28 at W&M Washington DC Center (MS in NPM)

18 credits

Courses will be delivered once a month (e.g., all day Friday and Saturday morning) with some hybrid elements. This delivery model maximizes the ability of W&M faculty to teach courses in person and also makes it easier for students to take part-time jobs, if they wish. It is also the same model that the Mason School uses to deliver its Executive MBA program.
