Harold G. Martin, Jr., an adjunct professor at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business and a Director in Keiter’s Valuation and Forensic Services Practice, has been acknowledged by Forbes as one of America’s Top 200 CPAs for the year 2024. This prestigious recognition underscores his profound impact on the field of accounting and his unwavering commitment to excellence.
With over four decades of experience, Harold has exemplified unparalleled dedication and expertise in the specialized practices of valuation and forensic accounting. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping Keiter’s Valuation and Forensic Services Practice into a preeminent practice both regionally and nationally. Throughout his tenure, Harold has not only fostered the growth of the practice but also mentored a generation of professionals, including his successors, ensuring a legacy of excellence and leadership continuity.
In addition to his invaluable contributions at Keiter, Harold also serves as an adjunct professor at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business, where he has taught forensic accounting in the Master of Accounting program for nearly two decades. He has also served as a guest lecturer on valuation for the MBA program and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law. He is a graduate of William & Mary and received his bachelor’s degree in English in 1979. He has been very active as an alumnus, currently serving as a member of The William & Mary Alumni Association Board of Directors, and formerly serving as the president and member of the Board of Directors of the William & Mary Alumni Society-Greater Richmond Chapter, a member of the Class of 1979 20th and 25th Year Reunion Committees, and a member of the Alumni Admissions Network.
His dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his active involvement in professional organizations, where he has held leadership roles and facilitated the advancement of valuation and forensic accounting by teaching professional courses, serving as an editor of professional publications, co-authoring textbooks, publishing articles, and speaking at conferences and seminars.
Harold’s illustrious career has been marked by numerous accolades, including induction into the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Business Valuation Hall of Fame and recognition as a two-time recipient of the AICPA Business Valuation Volunteer of the Year Award.
