Biography
Simha Mummalaneni is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at William & Mary's Mason School of Business. Professor Mummalaneni has an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Before coming to William & Mary, he was a faculty member at Chapman University and the University of Washington, where he taught classes related to marketing strategy and marketing analytics and received multiple school-wide awards for teaching excellence.
His research is broadly in the area of quantitative marketing and marketing analytics, with a specific focus on topics such as platforms, advertising, digital marketing, and retailing. Much of Professor Mummalaneni's research also focuses on how firms' marketing activities intersect with public policy and societal issues.
