Biography
Virgil Fenters is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Raymond A. Mason School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Arizona State University, a Master's degree in Leadership Education and Development from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy. His overarching goal in research and teaching is to help people love what they do and add value to themselves, others, organizations, and society while doing it. More specifically, his research falls into the areas of identity, leadership, and team dynamics. Virgil has been published in top tier journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Harvard Business Review. Prior to joining academia Virgil served as a pilot in the United States Navy.
