Biography

Franklin E. Robeson joined the faculty at William & Mary School of Business in 1978 and in 1988 became the Hays T Watkins Professor of Business. Bud received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati. He earned an MBA and Doctorate in Business from Indiana University.

In addition to teaching in the economics and information systems areas, he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the business school for seven years and as Vice Provost for Information Technology for eight years. In 1996 Bud returned to full time teaching and research.

While serving as Vice Provost, Bud was appointed to several state-wide study groups dealing with information technology and management. He was chair of VERnet, which was the educational and research network for Virginia, and one of the early member networks of the Internet. He also served on the Library of Virginia technology committee for two years. His research interests include electronic commerce, regulation and market studies.
