Biography

Eleanor T. Loiacono is Professor of Business Analytics. Prior to arriving at the Mason School, Dr. Loiacono served as Professor of Information Technology and Data Science, as well as the Co-Founder of the and Director of the Inclusive Design and Accessibility (IDEA) Hub (idea.wpi.edu) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Her expertise centers on the intersection of technology and the user. Over the past 20 years, she has focused on how people feel about the technology they use and how technologies, such as mobile apps and social media, can improve users’ experiences. She is particular interested in how those with differing abilities interact with technologies. She currently serves as a Co-Chair for the Association for Information Systems COVID-19 Small Business Digitization Initiative, a global undertaking that has over 31 universities participating worldwide.
