Hired to lead all aspects of a beloved brand (Cellular One), owned by this Private Equity Firm, to include P&L, Marketing, Strategy, Intellectual Property, and Licensor/Licensee relationship, Legal and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Dobson Cellular Communications
Hired when they bought the national Cellular One brand after Western Wireless was ordered by the Department of Justice to divest the brand. Having led all aspects of the brand for the past 11 years, continued to lead and advise Dobson management on the brand strategy, licensees, and revising the Cellular One Brand License Agreement. Also earned the company $37 million in federal funds creating, executing and managing the requirements this new program needed. Rolled out program to eight eastern states and traced Lifeline progress for funding until Dobson was bought by AT&T.
Western Wireless Corporation, Executive Director of two brands for 11 years
Hired to create and build a new brand and all marketing, advertising and public relations. Created "VoiceStream" and orchestrated first PCS phone call in the U.S. from HI senator to call Washington D.C. Today, it's T-Mobile. Also, after buying 100% of the Cellular One brand, took over the Cellular One Group, based in Dallas, TX and bought it in-house and managed this large entity under the corporation. With Legal, completely revised the former Franchisor/Franchisee License Agreement to the more efficient Licensor/Licensee contract.
