I viewed the MBA program at William & Mary as an opportunity to fast-track my career progression and gain a lifelong competitive advantage.
Why did you choose William & Mary?
William & Mary's #1 in learning ranking stood out to me as a significant reason to apply for the program. I wanted to gain as much knowledge and value from my MBA degree as possible, and this ranking gave me confidence that I would achieve that. Growing up in Williamsburg, I was always aware of William & Mary's prestigious reputation. The college's strong academic standing and commitment to excellence made it an obvious choice for me. I was confident the MBA program would foster significant personal and professional growth, focusing on refining technical skills and cultivating essential leadership abilities—the emphasis on comprehensive professional development aligned perfectly with my career goals and aspirations. Since joining the program, I have been amazed by each professor's breadth of knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile to meet their students' needs. The program has exceeded my expectations, providing a rich and supportive learning environment.
What are some highlights from your time in the MBA program?
My favorite experience in my first year of the program has been the global culture night. Seeing my classmates showcase their cultures and our international students' performances was incredible. The students at William & Mary are incredibly well-rounded individuals with diverse backgrounds, and it is a beautiful thing to celebrate together. Additionally, our weekly Mug Nights will always be one of my favorite ways to spend time with friends and blow off steam from the week. These events have been instrumental in building camaraderie and creating lasting memories.
How have you applied what you learned in the program to your internship?
Many aspects of what I've learned in my first year of the program have been valuable in my internship at Sentara.
