Milliken Memorial Scholarship supports military Online MBA Students

The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary announces the creation of the Kyle J. Milliken Memorial Scholarship as a living memorial to the service paid by the Navy SEAL and MBA student killed in action earlier this year.

Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Kyle Milliken enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2002 and graduated from Navy SEAL training in 2003. During his career he served in Iraq and Afghanistan and earned numerous awards including four Bronze Star medals. Milliken was supporting an operation in Somalia when he was killed in combat in May.

The Kyle J. Milliken Memorial Scholarship provides support for Mason School students in the Online MBA program who are active-duty or military veterans, with preference given to those who serve in the SEAL organization. Through this scholarship fund, military students around the globe can receive critical support to obtain a world-class management education.

“Kyle was a committed and engaged student, and he was a leader. This scholarship will help students who follow in kind,” said Dean Larry Pulley ’74. “I want to thank the Mason School community for coming together to memorialize Kyle and honor the supreme sacrifice he made for our country.”
