Southeast Asia Winter Break Program

Don Rahtz's Global Business Analysis and Immersion class in Southeast Asia.

A unique opportunity that past students have had is to join Prof. Don Rahtz's Global Business Analysis and Immersion class that travels to Southeast Asia over winter break. The course typically meets during the fall semester developing the intellectual processes needed to conduct in-depth global business analysis. The objective of these meetings is to improve the ability of students to collect, analyze, contextualize, and utilize what they see (and do not see) while abroad.

The trip focuses on cultural and economic understanding at the corporate, national and transnational levels.  Students apply the concepts learned in class to businesses they visit during the trip, providing a learning-in-the-field approach to making effective and strategic business decisions.  While abroad, students tour local and transnational businesses, attend a number of business meetings, visit local schools and tour cultural points of interest.  Please view a detailed tentative itinerary here.
