Laura is an Adjunct Professor at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business and since 2018 has taught graduate and undergraduate courses focused on entrepreneurship, venture capital / private equity, and financing strategies for entrepreneurial ventures.

In the early stage of her career, Laura spent 5 years in New York City working in investment banking, public accounting auditing, and private wealth management. She currently serves as a Managing Director and General Partner for NRV, a Virginia-based Venture Capital fund focused on investing in high-growth ventures.

Laura has served on a variety of company boards over the last 10 years, including Health Warrior (acquired by PepsiCo), Moonlighting (acquired by CareerGig), Beanfields, Shenandoah Valley Organic, Iron Sheepdog, Ario, WealthForge, and Red’s All Natural. She is also active in the non-profit community, including serving as Board Chair of Richmond-based Connor’s Heroes.

Laura has a BBA in Accounting & English from the College of William & Mary, a Masters of Accounting from the College of William & Mary, and an MBA from Columbia University.
