Iria Giuffrida is a Visiting Faculty member for Business Law at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Iria also teaches at William & Mary Law School, and is the Deputy Director of the Center for Legal & Court Technology (CLCT). She leads CLCT’s research efforts related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and emerging technologies. She is also part of the William & Mary faculty participating in the state-wide Commonwealth Cybersecurity Initiative.
Iria holds an LL.M. from William & Mary and an LL.B. and Ph.D. in Law from Queen Mary, University of London. She is admitted to practice law in New York, England and Wales, and the Republic of Ireland. She was a commercial litigator with Dechert LLP in London and Brussels, and for Enyo Law LLP, a big-ticket specialist litigation firm in London. In addition to in multi-jurisdictional litigation, Iria has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution having been involved in a number of ICC and LCIA arbitrations as well as mediations concerning competition law, international joint-venture disputes, energy disputes and construction law.
