Biography
Ayse Durukan Sonmez is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the area of Operations and Information Technology. Prior to joining the William and Mary faculty, she taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and North American University.
Dr. Durukan Sonmez received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston. Her research focuses on algorithm design, facility location problems, and disaster response planning. She is an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).
