Biography

Dale Burgess is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business and teaches both graduate and undergraduate level courses. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and his M.S. in Taxation from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dale is a former partner at McGladrey and was managing partner at McGladrey's Richmond office. He is a retired partner at Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG). Dale has also been an internal CPE instructor for both McGladrey and DHG and was McGladrey's Lead S Corporation Specialist.

His interests include business taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and startups. He is also interested in financial accounting and reporting of both public and private businesses.

Dale has published articles in the Richmond Times Dispatch and Taxation for Accountants, and has made presentations for the VSCPA, Associated Accounting Firms International, and the Estate Planning Council of Richmond. He has also presented at the William and Mary and VCU Tax Conferences.
