Bob Thompson is a partner with RiverTree Consulting, a ministry business dedicated to pouring God's timeless truths into the lives of the next generation of Christian leaders. Bob also serves as executive director of the Christian Festival Association (christianfestivals.com), a membership association of the nation's largest Christian music and teaching events.
Bob is the former president of Sprint's national consumer organization, where he was responsible for the sales, marketing and customer operations for Sprint's consumer long distance division. During his tenure with Sprint, Bob also served as the company's president of global data operations and senior vice president of human resources.
Before joining Sprint, Bob held management positions with both AT&T and Verizon Corporation. Bob retired from his 24 year career in the telecommunications industry in 2001 with a stated intention to pursue a career in Christian ministry, with particular emphasis on the influence of popular music on contemporary culture.
Bob speaks regularly to groups on topics of leadership, business ethics, information technology management and marketplace ministry.
Bob and his wife Nancy are graduates of the College of William and Mary, where Nancy recently completed her graduate studies, concentrating on cultural influences on American young people as it relates to matters of faith. They reside in Williamsburg, Virginia and have two grown children and two grandchildren.
