After college, Mark held management positions in operations and commercial loans for 7 years in a bank in Kansas City, MO. In 1979, he joined General Motors Financial Staff, holding various executive positions in both Detroit and New York City. He moved to Inland Fisher Guide (a GM component manufacturing division) in 1986 as Assistant Divisional Comptroller. After leading a special project for the GM Executive Committee in 1989-91, he became CFO of Packard Europa in 1991. He returned to the United States and in 1995 became GMs senior executive at its NUMMI joint venture with Toyota in Fremont, CA. In 2004, he joined GMs Motors Holding division (an internal investment fund) which provides investment capital to dealer operators to purchased dealerships. In March 2007, he became Director, GM Used Vehicle Activities with responsibilities for GM Remarketing and GM Certified Used Vehicles. In 2008, new vehicle sales to rental car companies was added to his existing responsibilities. He received a BSBA from the University of Missouri Columbia and an MBA from the University of Detroit.
