Thomas  Ruch


Ruch retired from IBM in 2006 after 26 years of service. His most recent position was Vice President for IBM's Global Technology Services division where he was responsible for setting and executing information technology outsourcing strategies for more than 20 Fortune 100 industrial accounts across the aerospace, automotive and defense industries. Prior to that position, he was Vice President and Senior Executive for two of IBM's largest outsourcing contracts. His responsibilities in both positions included customer satisfaction, contract fulfillment, revenue growth and contract profitability. Over his IBM career, he held several positions in marketing and sales including Regional Manager in New York City, National Account Manager and Branch Manager. Before joining IBM, Ruch was Vice President of Information Systems for United Virginia Bank, now SunTrust Bank, in Richmond, Virginia.

Ruch is a retired Navy Reserve Captain, and he holds a bachelor's and an MBA degree from the University of Virginia and a master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he taught in 1980 and 1981.
