Through good fortune and circumstances, I have been involved in high-level government and private -sector organizations since graduating from law school. After serving in the Illinois state government, I moved to Washington, DC to serve in the federal regulatory agency that oversees credit unions. Later, along with my two partners, I founded Callahan and Associates, Inc., a premier credit union consulting firm. I have also had the opportunity to run a credit union totaling over a billion dollars in assets. I finished my career as the executive director of the National Credit Union Foundation the national not for profit fundraising entity, where I redirected the primary focus to promote financial literacy.
