For more than 30 years, Allan was affiliated with the consumer electronics industry, working for General Electric and Thomson Multimedia. He held senior management positions in both sales and consumer marketing for the GE and RCA brands that included national sales management, brand and product management, sales motivation/training, merchandising, supply chain management, and product service. One of these assignments involved a full analysis of the European Consumer Electronics market. Allan is currently an Associate with Vickerman and Associates doing consulting in the field of strategic port design, intermodal planning, and commercial port market forecast and analysis.
Allan has a bachelor's degree in economics from Denison University and an MBA from Michigan State.
