The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary is currently recruiting for the Associate Director, Corporate Relations & Employer Engagement (CREE). This position is the primary interface with regional employers/corporate partners and Mason alumni on programs in support of Mason graduate business students (MBA, Master of Accounting and MS, Business Analytics) seeking full-time jobs and internship opportunities. This role will embrace new career services initiatives consistent with the Mason School’s and Graduate Career Management Center’s (GCMC) mission, vision, and strategic goals. As part of a high-performing team, this role acts as an internal liaison to the graduate programs and serves as the key industry account lead for employers and alumni with a focus on engagement, hiring outcomes, and partnerships. The Associate Director develops and cultivates employer relationships with an emphasis on technology, analytics, and consulting organizations in support of all graduate business students. 

The Associate Director is responsible for leading our annual, campus-wide W&M TechDay and career treks in support of students focused on technology and analytics careers. Additionally, this position will focus on supporting international students looking for career opportunities in the United States and across the globe. This position includes both alumni and employer outreach efforts and will partner with employer engagement colleagues across the university in support of holistic engagement with hiring partners. The Associate Director must possess the self-confidence to work with graduate students, working professionals, alumni of the school, senior executives of corporations, faculty, and staff. The successful candidate should also demonstrate initiative, high energy, and an ability to work in a fluid environment with shifting priorities. In addition, this Associate Director will work in collaboration with our career advising team and operational effectiveness team to achieve those objectives. To support W&M’s new Vision 2026, this role will focus on expanding our reach and cultivating dynamic partnerships to support the entire W&M community.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, education, HR or a related field, or comparable combination of education and experience 
 • Experience (typically 3-5 years) in business industries, corporate and employer relations, job/internship development, or corporate HR and recruiting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); online meeting software such as Zoom, WebEx; and the ability to learn new technologies including career management platforms
• Strong skills in data analysis and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
• Strong marketing, written and oral communication skills, relationship management and presentation skills
• A thorough knowledge of the current trends in global industry-related recruiting practices and online job search tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree 
• Significant (typically 5-7 years) experience in business, career management or HR/corporate recruiting
 • Experience as a team member with a collaborative approach to accomplishing objectives
 • Self-starter with strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
 • Marketing, sales, relationship management and/of related experience
• Prior demonstrated success building new corporate partners and career opportunities in multiple geographic US and global markets

Pay Range:

$42,514 to $65,407, Commensurate with Experience and Equity
