Your Center for Business Research
The McLeod Business Library in Miller Hall is a multi-purpose, state-of-the-art information center. It serves the research, study, and everyday curricular needs of the students, faculty, staff, and business community. Using the latest database research tools, it provides a unique opportunity for students and faculty to perform in practical, or “real world,” situations to enhance their perceptions of the business world.
The resources available at McLeod include a selected reference collection, a preferred periodicals section, and business reference materials in both print and electronic format. There are laptop workstations with wireless connectivity, so patrons may access the networked databases and internet on their personal computers. The library training room is equipped with monitors that hook up to personal computers, as well as a projector screen and podium that enhances any training session or group meeting.
Patrons have access to over 32 databases and two Bloomberg terminals. Research guides are available in the library and online, with specific reference to the areas of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Marketing, and Management. Additional business-research databases are provided through the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) and the Earl Gregg Swem Library.
