Is regalia required for Commencement Ceremonies?

Yes, regalia is required to be worn by all graduates for Commencement.

What color is the hood supposed to be?

Raymond A. Mason School of Business MBA, MAcc, and BBA graduates wear brown (drab/tan) hoods. MSBA students wear gold hoods.

How to put the hood on?

Donning the hood is a two-person job. For tips view a regalia video. Staff will also be on-site to help, if needed.

What should be worn with regalia?

We recommend wearing attire appropriate for the formal atmosphere of Commencement. However, remember that it is likely to be warm that day and you may not want to wear a suit coat under your regalia. Comfortable, business formal shoes are recommended since you will likely do a lot of walking.

Yes, bring your honor or recognition cords with you to wear draped over your shoulders at the commencement ceremony.
