Charles H. Fedalen, Jr. is Executive Vice President and Group Head for Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate’s Institutional and Metro Markets Group. This Group is responsible for all institutional clients nationwide and for all private clients in the greater metropolitan markets of the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and DC as well as New York City and the Northeastern seaboard. The Group also has a loan production office in London to service its domestic clients doing business in the United Kingdom. Commercial Real Estate’s public REIT Finance Group reports to Fedalen. Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate provides to its clients “one stop shopping” for a wide variety of real estate financial products, including senior secured and unsecured debt on a recourse and non-recourse basis, as well as mezzanine debt, preferred equity and structured debt products. Fedalen is a 20 year veteran of Wells Fargo. His office is located in Irvine, California.
Fedalen received his BA from University of California at Los Angeles with a double major in Scandinavian Languages and Political Science. He also attended the University of Lund in Sweden in 1976-77. He received his law degree in 1982 from the University of Southern California.
Active in the community, Fedalen’s professional affiliations and volunteer time include Urban Land Institute (ULI Trustee and member Small Scale Development Council), International Council of Shopping Centers and he previously served as an executive board member with the Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council. Fedalen also served from 1983-1996 as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve (active and inactive). Fedalen and his wife live in Irvine and have three grown children.
