Sustainability Speakers

The Mason School of Business is becoming a pioneer in linking sustainability and business at the undergraduate level. Several great speakers have come to Mason to help pave the way.

On Friday, October 23, 2009, Jeff Hittner, BBA '98, then Corporate Social Responsibility Leader for IBM Global Business Services, joined us to share his story of a life in business and sustainability, and how IBM integrates sustainability and social responsibility in their innovative business strategy. Jeff Hittner is currently Deputy Chair and Director of Research at the Corporate Eco Forum.

On September 24th, 2009 Adam Werbach, Global CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S and author of the book Strategy for Sustainability, published by Harvard Business Press in July 2009, joined Mason School of Business for an evening talk about his strategy for sustainability.

Aaron Schiller, Client Services and Blue Accelerator at Saatchi & Saatchi S, was our keynote speaker at our Sustainability Symposium in Spring 2009. The keynote address entitled "Beyond Green: The Future of Sustainability in Transforming Business" jump-started the sustainability effort at the Mason School of Business.
