Act Globally

Turn business knowledge into action

Lisa Pin volunteered for a service project in Central AmericaContributing to the betterment of society is an increasingly important part of business as well as an important part of a business education.  We encourage all students to participate in service experiences as part of their Individual Program of Study.  Many students will participate in local community service projects, which is great, but why not take your skills and talents abroad to countries that can benefit greatly from your help?

William & Mary offers many options for students who would like to serve abroad, such as international service trips, and community engagement opportunities.  Social entrepreneurship utilizes business skills to create innovative, sustainable, and empowering solutions to address global ailments.  Challenge yourself!  Convert your classroom business knowledge into action to help others.
