You’re going to work and lead in the real world. And the Mason School goes beyond the classroom to support your transition to the professional world. We connect you with experts - our Executive Partners network – to support you in your journey.
Imagine having a group of more than 100 senior business executives from more than 20 different industries supporting you. Active, semi-retired or retired, these are leaders who have been there, and done what you plan on doing. And our Executive Partners are like no others. They are part of our community — they live here. They’re always available to work with you face-to-face and provide guidance whenever you seek it out. They’re local.
A view to your career
If you’re trying to decide what careers to pursue upon graduation, our “EP’s” are here to help. They can tell you, from direct experience, what jobs are like in various industries. Want to know what advertising, consulting, sales, corporate finance, accounting are really like as career areas? What are such industries looking for? How can you develop an “elevator pitch” that connects with recruiters? Ask an Executive Partner.
Our Executive Partners have hired thousands of people. They’ll be frank about what skills you’ll need in launching your career — and what you’ll need down the line when you’re ready to assume your own leadership role.
There are a cadre of EPs available to serve you. Their insight is invaluable. EPs bring real-world perspective, advice, friendship, and a helping hand. Our Executive Partners can help you break out from the pack – get noticed – get hired – go on to lead.
A personal touch
Look anywhere in the William & Mary undergraduate business program and you’ll find our Executive Partners working upfront in formal settings as well as behind the scenes.
Our Executive Partners know what’s under the hood of business — the nitty gritty — the nuts and bolts. They speak from deep experience. You’ll find them sharing their expertise in the classroom and with student organizations, serving on career panels, coaching you in mock interviews, and helping you hone that all-important two-minute elevator pitch.
That’s the W&M Advantage.
