To support Post-Baccalaureate interest in Public Service and Community Development
Scholarship Amount: $1,500
Nomination Process: Applicants provide a resume and a brief personal statement describing your post-baccalaureate interest in public service, community organization, or grassroots development.
Important Dates: Submission deadline May 1, 2009

Eligibility: Current faculty member, can not be the previous year's winner.

Alfred N. Page Undergraduate Teaching Award

Recognition of an exceptional faculty member in teaching
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Nomination Process: Nominated by faculty and staff.
Selection Process: Winner selected by the Dean.
Eligibility: Previous two winners ineligible.

Prizes

Student Academic Prize
The William and Mary Alumni Association, in collaboration with several academic departments across campus, awards monetary prizes to students who display exceptional academic performance as judged by their department.
Prize Amount: $200 per student
Nomination Process: The Undergraduate School of Business Office nominates a student they judge to be deserving of the award.
Eligibility: Students must be admitted to the Undergraduate Business Program.
Selection Criteria: Students are selected based on GPA, strength of academic pursuits and IPS.
Important Dates: Deadline to submit names is mid-April and a reception will be held in late April for prize recipients.

Honors and Scholarships

Accenture Scholarship

The Accenture Scholarship was established through the generosity of Accenture, a global management consulting and technological services organization.
Scholarship Amount: Varies. 2008-2009 prize was 5 prizes of $1,100.
Nomination Process: Applicants should provide a resume and a personal statement describing your academic Individual Program of Study and relevant leadership experience and extra-curricular activities. Also, please indicate your interest in learning more about and exploring opportunities in the field of consulting.
Eligibility: Students must have completed the Foundation Semester and must have at least one semester remaining before graduation.
Selection Criteria: Applications are evaluated on merit, sustained academic excellence, leadership, and extra-curricular activities.
Important Dates: November of each academic year.  Exact dates to be announced.

Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) Award of Achievement

Each year, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants presents an Award of Achievement to outstanding undergraduate seniors who have excelled in the field on accounting.
Nomination Process: Students are nominated by the Undergraduate School of Business Office.
Eligibility: Must be an undergraduate senior pursuing an accounting degree at a Virginia college of university.
Selection Criteria: A student who had excelled in the field of accounting.
Important Dates: Institution's nomination is due in early April.

Award: Recognition by Wall Street Journal, medallion, and a year's subscription to the business newspaper.
Eligibility: Graduating Senior
Selection Process: Winner is selected by Undergraduate Program

Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society

Beta Gamma Sigma is an honor society for the best students in business programs accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition business students throughout the world can receive in undergraduate or master's programs.
Nomination Process: Students will be notified of their eligibility for induction into this honor society.
Eligibility: Undergraduate students must be ranked in the top 10 percent of their class and graduate students must be ranked in the top 20 percent of their class.
