International Emphasis

Our international emphasis option allows you to internationalize your business degree by integrating your study abroad experience with formal coursework in business and cultural studies. The combination provides the foundation for a global education, enhancing your perspective as well as academic knowledge. Study what interests you and strengthen your degree from the Mason School of Business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 credits earned as part of a study abroad program

  • Complete an approved elective focusing on foreign language or culture; or completing six credits of language study beyond the 202 level.

  • Complete an international business course (BUAD 440 International Business Management or the equivalent)

  • Complete one discipline-based international course related to your major or concentration (e.g., BUAD 450 Global Marketing or BUAD 417 International Banking and Trade Financing)
