Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is offered as a concentration.

Concentration

Students majoring in another business discipline may add an entrepreneurship concentration. It consists of two required courses (one of which fulfills the strategy requirement from the upper-level core curriculum) and three credits of electives. 

Required Courses (3 credits each)
BUAD 433  Strategies of Entrepreneurship*
BUAD 443  Entrepreneurial Ventures

Electives (Choose 3 credits)
BUAD 419  Valuation (3 credits)
BUAD 450  Global Marketing (3 credits)
BUAD 474  Negotiation (1.5 credits)
and one of the following 1.5 credits courses
     BUAD 459  Lean Processes
     BUAD 461  Six Sigma
     BUAD 465  Managing Supply Chains in a Digital Economy
     BUAD 476  Electronic Commerce
     BUAD 481  Service Quality & Marketing
     BUAD 482  Project Management      

* Students pursuing an entrepreneurship concentration are required to take BUAD 433 Strategies of Entrepreneurship, which fulfills the strategy requirement (part of the upper-level core courses).  Students may not apply both BUAD 433 and BUAD 432 Strategic Management towards the 120 hour degree requirement.  Students may, however, apply both BUAD 433 and BUAD 431 Strategic Analysis & Consulting.
